![]() ![]() The longer term solution for this is still under development - quite a challenging implementation to get right so it's taking longer than expected, but still on the horizon. One quick fix I added here was to make outdoor sectors more costly, which did coerce them to avoid outdoors areas / get inside sooner. In this case the outdoors traversal appeared slightly better than direct-to-indoors basically, even though in reality the indoors path is more optimal. I might be mistaken but the screenshot you posted shows your road might be backwards for the second lane Your vehicles will always come from the top and leave from the bottom. However, in certain layouts these approximations don't work well. Multi-Lane Access is a researchable that allows you to take on two lanes coming in and two lanes leaving. The abstract search space makes approximations of distances it would take to cross each sector. This is probably due to our high level pathfinder, which (in combination with representation format) sacrifices path optimality for speed of calculation. Right now there's nothing special hard coded in there to prevent or force traversal across either zone. But I am seeing lots of Dropoffs passengers go all the way south through Pickups to get into Ticketing, which is a very similar issue. I can't reproduce this exact behavior (have the same map, may be a few days out of date though). Makes me wonder if a reason i had also a problem with PAx not leaving the airport, was maybe that instead of PICKUP, i had DROPOFF blocking the exit for them.and at that time i had no alternate door north of the main entrance.ĮDIT: Actually wanted to post this in the EDGE forum, cause its the edge build. Removing a part of the PICKUp zone in front of a door will immediately make them all change their path to the logical and direct path. Then i noticed that PAx that use the LRT, go all the way up north (by the Fuel tanks) where the first door is, that is not "blocked" by the pickup zone and then go back down on again. ![]() Its 1 field wide and covers the whole sidewalk there. So the pickup area is now the sidewalk in front of the main entrance,to the right of the LRT station. So the dropoff is now before the pickup area and that thankfully lowered my PAX count from 11+k to 8-9k. I rcently changed the Dropoff/Pickup layout. ![]()
